We will be holding officer interviews on:
Date: April 4th and April 5th 2011
Time: during lunch
Place: Mr. Lack’s classroom (Rm 101)
At the end of this post, there is a brief list of what each KC officer does. Choose your position wisely.
Your current senior officers and Mr. Lack will be judging and asking the questions.
Give us a short speech which contains:
- Name
- What position you want to uphold next year and why/what makes you think you'll be good for this position as well as Key Club itself
What to expect from us, so you must know:
- Some Key Club background knowledge
- at least one Key Club cheer or the Key Club Pledge (:
- etc.
We're looking for spirited, dedicated Key Clubbers. So show us what makes you a true Key Clubber! (:

Key Club Officer Duties:
Duties of KC President
•Appointing persons to perform tasks and ensure that the task is done.
•attend committee meetings as much as possible this includes regular club meetings, board meetings, DCMs and all club activities
•encourage all others to attend ICON and other various division and district functions
•evaluate club meetings to see what needs to be improved and what is doing great
•set goals and follow through with them such as a fundraiser
•make sure that each club and board meeting is well organized and that each member has fun and company
•if president can not make it to an event, be sure your VP is there to represent you
•make sure your officers and members know that you’re serious about decisions and activities, they will see it and they’ll help you through it
•prepare next year’s president
•be one-on-one with our Kiwanis advisor as well as our LTG
Duties of KC VP
•basically assist KC President as well as other officer members if they need assistance.
•attend club meetings
Duties of KC Secretary
•minutes of all club meetings-regular and board meetings / attend meetings
•monthly club reports must be sent in every month to show LTG how active the club is
•collect active members names
•attend club meetings
Duties of KC Treasurer
•Collect member dues and mail them to the International Office
•maintain accurate financial records
•transact business through school account
•inform club and Kiwanis of our financial strengths and weaknesses
•deposit club funds
•understand school and club policies regarding student financial accounts
•attend club meetings
Duties of Bulletin Editor/Publicity
•Post signs, posters, and banners announcing meeting dates, projects, and any type of Key Club promotion
•Send articles to the district publication and KEYNOTER magazine regarding projects and new ideas. Be sure to include photos.
•Create a Web site or maintain the current one, or support the club Webmaster.
•Create a scrapbook to be entered into the district competition
•attend club meetings
